Dear Virginia Lake Parents and Staff,
Welcome to Virginia Lake School! As Co-Presidents of the Virginia Lake PTA we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the new school year.
If you are a family coming to Virginia Lake for the first time, you are probably wondering what is PTA? What does PTA do? How can I help?
PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association and our goal is to provide the best environment for our children by bringing teachers, staff and parents together!
Virginia Lake PTA provides many services and programs to the school. We organize and run annual events such as School Picnic, Book Fair, Fun Fair, Sock Hop and Grandparents
Day. We are responsible for publishing the school Calendar, Phone Directory, and the Yearbook. We also assist in the building with Vision and Hearing Screening, the Mobile Dentist, and in the classroom (Halloween and Valentine’s Day parties) and in the Resource Center.
Wow, you may say? HOW CAN I HELP? A great way to begin is to give one of us a call and we will point you in the right direction! We need you! Our children need you!
Finally, we would love to meet you! Please come to one of our meetings. PTA meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm in the Teacher’s Lounge. We look forward to seeing you there! Thank you and welcome.
